• Make the foundation explicit if it is new information to the reader, if the reader will disagree with the bridge.

• Since exercising makes employees healthier (evidence), we should open a company fitness center (claim). Healthier employees tend to take fewer sick days and have a more positive attitude. (bridge) Healthy employees will save the company money in the long term.(foundation)
